The Query Module Zoosanitary Requirements for Import (MCRZI) is an online query system which can be accessed from any computer with internet, 24 hours per day, 365 days a year, and consists of a catalog of documents contain animal health requirements, called combinations, which are set for the importation of goods of animal or for use or consumption by animals, in order to prevent the entry of pests and diseases of animals to Mexico.
To import animals, products of animal origin for use or consumption or animal, it must comply with the animal health measures specified in MCRZI. Once the requirements are known, importers must demonstrate compliance with the Dirección General de Inspección Fitozoosanitaria (DGIF) at the point of entry. If you qualify, the DGIF will issue the Import Health Certificate, which must be filed with the customs declaration. In the event that the requirements do not appear in the MCRZI, you should make a "Request for animal health requirements for regulated goods not found in Module" to the Dirección de Importaciones y Exportaciones (DIE), through the Ventanilla Unica. Upon receiving the request, the DIE has five working days to issue an opinion, which the applicant receives through VU website.
